As Director of Career Development and Campus Integration, Noël will be a member of the Career Center's leadership team. She will lead the Career Development team with a focus on building greater integration of the work of the Career Center into academic and co-curricular programs across the university.
During her last five years with the Career Center, Noël has made significant contributions to the Career Center and to Santa Clara University. As the career development liaison to the Leavey School of Business, she built strong relationships with students, faculty and staff, created new initiatives like the Mock Interview Program alongside campus partners, and was regularly invited to deliver presentations to classes and student clubs.
Her previous background includes 25+ years of experience as a Human Resources professional in a variety of geographic and business environments, including tech, retail, non-profit and consulting. Noël is also the co-author of the recently published book, Faceplant: FREE Yourself from Failure's Funk.
She holds a MEd with a Counseling and Human Relations emphasis from Northern Arizona University and a BA in Economics with a minor in Human Resources from The University of Arizona.
As we welcome Noël into her new role, I want to take this opportunity to thank Colleen Withers (the incumbent Director of Career Development and Campus Integration) for her support and graciousness throughout this process. I also want to thank the search committee – Melissa Thiriez and Vania Tong – who helped to identify the strongest candidates as well as the many members of the campus community who also participated and provided valuable feedback. For all of the time and energy invested in this process, I am very grateful.
Noël will succeed Colleen Withers in this role, whose last day is June 01.
Please feel free to send Noël a note of welcome and congratulations at skreidler@scu.edu. ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ Shauna Strauss Promoted to Associate Director of Career Development & Campus IntegrationThe Career Center is pleased to announce that Shauna Strauss has been promoted to Associate Director of Career Development and Campus Integration. She will report to Noël Kreidler.

As Mary wrote in her reflection on LinkedIn,
For the first-gen community, we know that "you can't be what you can't see." This event was about more than just interview and resume tips; it was about connecting our students with a stellar group of professionals who believe in their potential. We are so grateful to the volunteers who shared their time and expertise to help our students navigate their career journeys with confidence.

Anna Mulderink '27 is a Mechanical Engineering major who will be joining Air Systems Inc. this summer after having participated in Winter Internships Fair hosted by the Career Center. We invited Anna to share her reflections for our Student Spotlight series.
What advice would you give to students who may be curious or nervous about using the Career Center?
They are really nice and have a lot of resources at their disposal.
How has the Career Center helped you achieve your career goals?
I got a job because of the winter career fair this year. I talked to a recruiter when I was at the fair and then they reached out to me saying they'd like to interview me. I talked to the same recruiter I spoke with at the career fair and then ended up getting the job. It is in San Jose which is awesome because then I can stay near Santa Clara.
Anna, thank you for sharing your story and congratulations on your summer internship! ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ Student Spotlight: Allison Kemp '27
Allison Kemp '27 is a Marketing major and Graphic Design minor. She will be joining Nutanix as a Partner Communication and Engagement Intern this summer. We invited her to share her reflections for our Student Spotlight series.
What advice would you give to students who may be curious or nervous about using the Career Center?
It is so helpful to voice any questions or concerns about your career and your future instead of bottling them inside. The Career Center is the perfect place to start. Speaking with Noël over the years has built my confidence surrounding career topics, which has translated into recent internship offers and discovering exciting career paths.
How has the Career Center helped you achieve your career goals?
Noël [Kreidler] is incredibly resourceful and supportive! Her Drop-In LSB Career Advice Support Hour (CASH) sessions in the Lucas Hall lobby are super helpful and convenient for answering quick questions. During these sessions, Noël has reviewed my resume, discussed career paths and interests with me, and helped me navigate the job offer process. I have also met with her for one-on-one meetings in the Career Center and over Zoom to take a deeper look into these topics.
Allison, kudos to you for leveraging the resources of the Career Center to help you accomplish your career goals! ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ NEW: Career Guide for Students with DisabilitiesWe have added a new Career Guide for Students with Disabilities to our collection of career planning guides.
This guide provides information and resources related to disability disclosure, legal considerations, and accommodations in the workplace as well as links to relevant job boards, employer programs, publications and campus resources.

Thank you to Noël Kreidler who took the lead on researching and compiling this guide. Thank you also to Laura Ellingson and Bill Stevens from the Disability and Chronic Illness Network (DCIN), Dylan Ryu from the Disabled Students Union (DSU) and Heidi Qandah and Cam Coulter from the Office of Accessible Education (OAE) for providing feedback and input.

It was a wonderful opportunity to share insights and new ideas and strengthen the bonds that make the career services community so special.

Thank you to our colleagues Debbie Snyder, Assistant Dean of Career Management in the School of Law, and Ray Chan, Senior Director of Career Services in the Leavey School of Business, for helping bring our three teams together each year.
Looking forward to another year of cross-campus partnership!
P.S. If you haven't been to Deedee's yet for lunch, check it out—great buffet of vegetarian Indian food. ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ Career News and Hot Topics From Around the Web
