October NewsHappy October! It's good to be back Broncos- we are here with a new year of Club Sport updates. SCU is home to 21 active and competitive Club Sport teams that face off against other universities at the local, regional, and national levels. Throughout the academic year, we ask teams to share monthly updates on what have been up to. Please note that not every team will report each month.
Open Club SportsShotokan KarateShotokan Karate is excited to get back at it! We started practice this past week and introduced our new members to all the basics, forms, and sparring techniques. We have a lot planned this year including several competitions, joint trainings, and socials. Come join us at practice to get involved! We are always looking for new members of any skill level. Feel free to reach out to jberry@scu.edu if you are interested in joining and learning karate.

We are practicing hard to prepare for UC Berkeley's invitational meeting in Marin on Sunday, October 25. After this, our biggest meet of the quarter is the CCS Western Regionals hosted by UC Irvine in Mission Viejo. As we get back into shape for these meets, we are also excited to welcome all of the new swimmers to the team as well!
