Resident Gate Clicker Tips
To ensure your gate clicker works properly, please follow these tips:
- Press and hold the button on the clicker for 1–2 seconds to ensure the gate receives the signal.
- If the gate does not respond the first time, remove the clicker from your car and try again.
- Press the button multiple times if needed.
- If the red light on the clicker does not turn on, the battery may be dead. Please visit the Parking and Transportation Services Office for assistance.
Positioning Tips:
- When entering the property, the clicker will work even if your vehicle is positioned in the middle lane.
- When exiting, drive as close to the gate as safely possible to ensure the sensor receives the signal.
Vehicle Permit Limit
Each permit decal allows registration of up to two vehicles, but the permit must be transferred between vehicles when parking on campus.
A valid parking permit must be displayed at all times while parked on SCU property.
Oversized Vehicles
If you have an oversized vehicle, please avoid parking in the smaller parking stalls marked as “compact” throughout campus. Any vehicles obstructing stalls or aisles (from the front/back/sides) are subject to citation.
Vehicle Storage
Please fill out the vehicle storage application if you intend to store your vehicle on campus during the summer quarter. Vehicle owners are required to provide proof of auto insurance coverage, sign a release of liability, and provide car keys to Campus Safety, in case the vehicle needs to be moved for campus maintenance or in the event of an emergency.
Only the driver or owner of the vehicle is able to drop off and pick up keys, not a friend or roommate.

Charepoint Updates
To continue offering a reliable and high-quality charging experience while managing rising operational costs, ChargePoint will begin applying a small Service fee to certain types of charging sessions. This fee will not apply to free or zero-energy sessions, nor will it affect sessions completed through workplace or multifamily "connection" programs, fleet accounts, or those on roaming partner networks.
Drivers who initiate sessions without a ChargePoint account will be subject to a higher Service fee, while drivers using the ChargePoint app, RFID card, or vehicle-based authentication will see a reduced fee. These changes will be clearly communicated to drivers through the ChargePoint app, station screens, and receipts. Our fee structure will include:
Anonymous drivers (no ChargePoint account):
ChargePoint account holder drivers:
We appreciate your continued partnership and are committed to ensuring transparency and support throughout this transition. Learn more at Service fees. Please don't hesitate to contact our Support team with any questions.
