The administration’s bargaining team and the faculty bargaining team had a productive and cordial fourth bargaining session.
The parties are making good progress on a number of issues, and we reached tentative agreements on additional subjects today. To date, this brings us into tentative agreement on a number of topics including: union recognition, union security, labor-management committee, nondiscrimination, management rights, union rights, new hire orientation, and tuition remission.
The administration also received new proposals from the faculty bargaining team regarding equity data, office space, and committee service, which we will take into consideration.
Both sides are considering a number of other proposals. We anticipate making additional progress at our next bargaining meeting on March 23. The Provost’s Office will continue to provide up-to-date information regarding efforts to reach a mutually agreeable contract on our bargaining website.
