T4 Build Meetings - Compliance Assistant Tool
Dear Colleagues,
We will host two identical hybrid T4 Build meetings at Learning Commons 205 on the following dates:
- Thursday, February 5, 1 - 3pm
- Tuesday, February 10, 10am - 12pm
A Google Calendar invite with Zoom details will be sent to the T4 Build listserv. If you are unable to attend, a recording will be shared after the second meeting.
We are excited to begin the journey toward full web accessibility across every T4 website, while taking this unique opportunity to clean up and streamline our entire site structure.
We will first grant the primary site owners of the T4 parent branches access to the Compliance Assistant tool. A separate email with details will follow. The tool includes the following steps:
- Move HTML emails - Move any html emails that have already been sent into the www-archive.scu.edu storage bucket or relocate work in progress to the email-only section in T4
- Clean up old sections - Archive webpages that no longer require editing and/or remove outdated T4 sections to simplify remediation in step 3
- Review accessibility - Resolve flagged accessibility issues using AI generated suggestions
- Submit for review - Submit the entire T4 branch to admin for review
Need more context on web accessibility compliance?
Check out the recording on the Federal Accessibility Compliance Mandate presentation along with the slide deck (slides 39-46) by Christina Olivas, Director of Digital Strategy at UMC. Every single webpage is required to be in compliance. Sites with unresolved flagged accessibility issues will be disabled in May 2026.
Please refer to our Web Accessibility Compliance by May 2026 website for recent communications, support resources, Accessibility Compliance Open Lab dates, and FAQ.
What about Level Access?
You may have recalled Siteimprove was replaced with Level Access on July 1, 2025. With the integrated accessibility checks, you will not need to learn another platform at this time. We are postponing onboarding folks to Level Access and prioritizing the use of the Compliance Assistant tool. In the meantime, our developers are partnering with Level Access for a thorough manual testing of our T4 content types.
Please reach out if you have questions. Your SCU web team is only a Zendesk web support request away.
