Assistant Professor of Economics

Professor Sinha's research focuses on understanding the importance of expectations formations for asset pricing. Her work attempts to explain empirically observed patterns in the term structure of interest rates using optimizing models. Other areas of interest include exploring the effects of changes in the government's fiscal policy on consumption and wealth of households. As an Assistant Professor of Economics at Santa Clara University, her primary teaching areas are Macroeconomics and Finance.

After earning her BA (Honors) and MA degrees at Delhi University, Professor Sinha completed doctoral work in Economics at Columbia University. She has held visiting positions at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
