Past Events
Our chapter of Phi Alpha Theta hosted the Northern California Regional Conference of the Phi Alpha Theta History Honors Society on April 29. Eight chapters participated (UC Berkeley, UC Davis, CSU Chico, CSU Stanislaus, San Francisco University, Mills College, and SCU). The President of the National Society of Phi Alpha Theta, Thomas Alexander, attended. Between thirty and thirty-five students presented papers, including five SCU students. Many of our own faculty were faculty commentators or judges for the paper competition. Each of the participating schools sent one to three faculty to serve in the same capacity. Spring Quarter Phi Alpha Theta hosted their annual initiation dinner welcoming thirty six new members. The History Club hosted Trivial Pursuit between the faculty and students and the Spring Barbeque this quarter as well.
