In the classroom, philosophy majors practice advanced skills in critical thinking, reasoned argument, and logical and ethical analysis. They also learn to become clear and concise communicators, both verbally and in writing. These skills, alone or in combination with another major, are in high demand in the world beyond the classroom, where employers in business, law, government, media, science and engineering repeatedly list these as the qualities they look for and value most in new employees. So, how do our Philosophy majors use what they have learned beyond SCU? Click here to see how Conor Boone, Class of 2016 is putting his philosophy training to work as an intern for Cisco Systems.
