Civil Engineering student wins CTF scolarship
In March, California Transportation Foundation (CTF) awarded a $5,000 scholarship to SCU senior civil engineering student Trevor Mallo based on his essay entitled, “What I Would Do to Improve Transportation in California.” His essay incorporated ideas for synergistic policies and smart growth plans that contribute to a prosperous economy, protect the environment, and promote social equity. Trevor competed against nine other students, all of whom had attended a CTF Transportation Education Symposium last fall, and his entry was judged to be the best by a committee of CTF Board Members.
