Director of External Relations, School of Education & Counseling Psychology

Counseling Psychology initiatives. This position will work closely with the Dean to increase the School of Education and Counseling Psychology’s visibility to external constituents in order to increase its capacity to raise money, expand its funding base, reach new constituencies, and identify and engage additional partners in the community.

Responsibilities include design and implementation of effective fundraising programs including stewardship of annual funds and major donors, planning annual development events, and creating and implementing external strategic communications and outreach strategies.  This position will also help strengthen and expand the School of Education and Counseling Psychology's communications and visibility in the community with the goal to develop further leadership and awareness of their work.

General Counsel

Reporting to the President of the University, the General Counsel is solely responsible for the provision of in-house legal services for Santa Clara University and has primary responsibility for the provision of legal advice to the University and its Board of Trustees, serves as an advisor to the President as a member of Cabinet, and manages the university's legal, contracting, policy, risk mitigation and avoidance, and compliance functions. Responsible areas include, but are not limited to: contracting, risk management, compliance and implementation of federal and state laws, intellectual property oversight, employment law, statutory and rule interpretation, and administrative responsibilities as assigned.

University Controller

The University Controller is primarily responsible for management and direction of all operational functions involved with the processing, accounting and reporting of financial transactions of the University. As a member of the senior management team within the University Finance Office, this position manages personnel in these areas to ensure the timely and accurate accounting and reporting of financial data.  The scope of the responsibility includes general accounting, tax compliance, accounts payable, purchasing, cashiering services, treasury services, financial reporting, student accounting and financial systems control. Additionally, this position provides expertise to executive-level staff on external regulations, internal financial operations and matters pertaining to the financial operations of the University.
