Vice President, University Marketing and Communications

Lead and advance the University’s marketing, communications, and branding initiatives, in alignment with the President’s vision and priorities, in order to elevate its regional, national, and global visibility and reputation. Collaborate with senior leadership across all schools, colleges, centers, and departments to ensure that internal and external initiatives are comprehensive, integrated, results-centered, and convey a consistent brand message and image. This leader will be responsible for all strategic, operational, and fiscal management for branding, digital strategy, public relations, and internal communications for the University, across all channels and audiences. The VP will mentor and inspire a team of professionals, encouraging collaboration and the highest quality production.

General Counsel

Reporting to the President of the University, the General Counsel is solely responsible for the provision of in-house legal services for Santa Clara University and has primary responsibility for the provision of legal advice to the University and its Board of Trustees, serves as an advisor to the President as a member of Cabinet, and manages the university's legal, contracting, policy, risk mitigation and avoidance, and compliance functions. Responsible areas include, but are not limited to: contracting, risk management, compliance and implementation of federal and state laws, intellectual property oversight, employment law, statutory and rule interpretation, and administrative responsibilities as assigned.

Vice President, Finance & Administration

The Vice President, Finance and Administration reports directly to the President and operates in partnership with the highest levels of campus leadership. In close partnership with the President and Provost, who set the institutional priorities, the VP, F&A ensures that the Finance, capital and infrastructure are strongly aligned with the academic mission of the University. The immediate focus of the role is to align the finance and administration functions with the ambitious plans for growth and visibility that the University has set for itself. The VP, F&A will look to modernize the thinking, culture, systems and processes within these functions, with the aim of achieving a level of financial and operational efficiency and effectiveness that will have a transformative impact on the institution and set it on a sustainable course going forward.

The executive vice president and provost sits on the president's cabinet, and will be a key player in implementing a new vision and strategic plan for the University. The EVP/Provost provides leadership and management for all aspects of academics, student life, and enrollment management, and ensures that the educational programs and offerings are consistent with the University's vision, mission, and values. In collaboration with a dedicated team of deans, vice provosts, and directors, the EVP/Provost oversees dozens of offices and programs, including faculty development, research initiatives, core curriculum, and assessment of student learning.
