Spring Engineering Education Days: SEEDsTHE APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2008 SEEDS PROGRAM ARE NOW AVAILABLE!!! The School of Engineering at Santa Clara University is pleased to announce its Spring Engineering Education Days. Program The SEEDs program provides Bay Area high school students with a unique opportunity to explore engineering topics not available through normal high school classes. Participants come to the SCU campus on all four saturdays in April and take two sessions each day on various engineering topics. Emphasis in the program will be on actual use of engineering tools and knowledge currently available to solve today's complex technological problems. Each session will include both lecture presentations and laboratory experiences taught by university professors. All workshops/seminars will be held in the Engineering Center on the SCU Campus. Eligibility All High School students who are in their sophomore or junior years and who have an interest in applied science, math, or engineering. Women and other underrepresented groups in the field of engineering are highly encouraged to apply. Cost SEEDs is sponsored by the School of Engineering and local industry, which enables us to offer the program at no cost to those who are accepted into the program. Registration In order to be considered for this program, applicants must submit by surface mail a completed application packet consisting of:

Registration Deadline is February 8, 2008 Applicants will be informed of their status by letter or email by February 17th and will be asked to send confirmation of their intention to attend all four sessions by March 10th.
