LEVY ETHICS CHALLENGE

We are delighted to announce a $100,000 Challenge Grant from Dick and Sue Levy, well-known philanthropists and long-time friends of the Ethics Center. Through June 30, all gifts will be matched dollar for dollar.

All those who donate and post a photo on Facebook or Twitter with the hashtag #MarkkulaEthicsChallenge by June 30 will be included in a thank you collage to be presented to the Levys.

MOOC2 Hana

LAST CALL FOR MOOCS

Our free Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCS) close on June 30. "Business Ethics for the Real World" and "Creating an Ethical Corporate Culture" have received over 2,500 enrollments. Course finishers who provide feedback on Facebook by June 30 can win a $25 Amazon gift certificate.

NEW DIRECTOR

We welcome Hana Callaghan to our staff as new director of Government Ethics. Callaghan has an extensive background in law, government, and politics, and served as associate executive director of The Santa Clara Bar Association.

JOIN THE JOURNALISM ETHICS FACEBOOK GROUP

The Executive Roundtable on Digital Journalism Ethics is a group of journalism executives, innovators, and leaders, hosted by Sally Lehrman, senior fellow in journalism ethics. The Facebook group explores responsible practices for truth in reporting, and enjoys discussions on a variety of related topics, including privacy issues, the impact of social media on digital journalism, and newsworthy current events on these issues.
