News: University Initiates Leadership and Justice for a Technological World

The Markkula Center for Applied Ethics is spearheading a new initiative in ethics, values, and technology through a grant from the Irvine Foundation. Called Leadership and Justice for a Technological World, the project brings faculty and staff from Santa Clara University together with leaders from industry to:

  • explore the relationship among values, technology, and society;

  • study the impact of technologies on social, economic, and political structures; and

  • strengthen existing programs and propose new programs to help people make sound ethical choices about technology.
