Information Services supports the university community in their use of technology and information resources.

Information Services is made up of four units: Academic Technology, Cyberinfrastructure Technologies, Enterprise Applications, and Information Security

    Academic Technology

    Academic Technology (Media Services, the Technology Help Desk, Technical Support Services, and Technology Training) supports and facilitates the application of media technology and non-print media resources to support and enhance teaching, learning, scholarship, and administrative services, as well as other campus activities and events.

    Cyberinfrastructure Technologies

    Cyberinfrastructure Technologies is composed of three groups. Together they manage the campus network (wired and wireless), directory services, IDM/Single Sign On and the campus Internet service providing connectivity for each building and department on campus. They administer email and collaboration services through Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, network file sharing, and Duo 2FA. They are responsible for data center management, servers (physical, virtual, and cloud-based), and storage infrastructure. This infrastructure is mission critical for most departments depending on reliable operations in order to accomplish their responsibilities. The team also supports the IT needs of the School of Engineering and the College of Arts and Sciences.

    Enterprise Applications

    The Enterprise Applications Group provides technical and consulting support for all the administrative offices on campus.  This includes support for WorkDay and Oracle/PeopleSoft (Finance, HCM, Campus Solutions), the eCampus portal and Administrative applications.

    Information Security

    The mission of the Information Security Office is to support Santa Clara University’s outstanding undergraduate, graduate, and research programs by protecting the university’s information assets.
