Provides access to current and retrospective bibliographic information, author abstracts, and cited references found in approximately 5,900 of the world's leading scholarly science and technical journals covering more than 150 disciplines. 1993-present. Updated weekly.

SCU receives 400+ ScienceDirect online journals from the publisher Elsevier. SCU's ScienceDirect journals are marked by green icons. Most are full-text. Dates covered: 1995-present. Elsevier journals focus on science, technology, medicine, and business, and include high impact-factor journals such as the Trends and Current Opinion series.

SciFinder Scholar Web Version requires users to complete a one-time registration, creating a username/password of their choosing. The email address entered at registration must have an @scu.edu extension. SciFinder Scholar is accessible only on-campus or via the SCU staff/faculty VPN.

A streaming music service containing more than 35,000 tracks of music, spoken word, and natural and human-made sounds. Containing the complete recordings released by Smithsonian Folkways Recordings and other ethnomusicological collections, it contains a wide array of American ethnic and folk music, as well as traditional music from around the world. Also included are music from American history (from the Revolution through the Civil Rights era), an extensive collection of children's songs, and many speeches, readings of poetry and drama, and sounds from the natural world. Produced by the Institutional Shareholder Services, this database contains research and analysis on social issue shareholder proposals raised at U.S. companies.

Index to the journal literature of the social sciences. It fully covers over 1,400 journals spanning 50 disciplines. Coverage also includes items relevant to the social sciences selected from 7,000 other journals. 1994-present. Updated weekly.

Indexes and abstracts articles at least one column in length from over 544 different English language periodicals in the social sciences, which includes anthropology, psychology, sociology, ethnic studies, political science, economics, geography, urban studies, and more. Fulltext of articles are available from about 175 of these periodicals. Indexing goes back to 1983. Abstracts began with January 1994. This database is a primary resource for accessing the latest research in sociology and related disciplines in the social and behavioral sciences. The database draws information from an international selection of over 2,600 journals and other serials publications, plus conference papers, books, and dissertations. Records added after 1974 contain in-depth and nonevaluative abstracts of journal articles. 1963-present. Updated monthly.

Company Profiles provide detailed data on the social and environmental records of companies on the Russell 3000 Index and KLDís Domini 400 Social Index. Involvement Reports track companies in the global publicly traded universe, including: Alcohol; Contraceptives; Firearms; Gambling; Military; Nuclear Power, and; Tobacco. Queries allows sophisticated searches on the 660+ companies in the Socrates database. Portfolio functionality allows the creation of selected lists of companies. Shareholder Actions offers shareholder resolutions for companies globally publicly traded. Corporate Governance allows the viewing and export of corporate governance data provided by The Corporate Library (TCL) covering the Russell 1000 universe.

The SPIN database contains the abstracts of over 80 scientific journals published by the American Institute of Physics and its Member Societies since 1975, as well as selected articles from other scientific journals. Can also browse tables of contents and abstracts, full text is available for subscribed journals.

A service of the U.S, Department of Commerce, it features Daily Economic News, Frequently Requested Statistical Releases, Export and International Trade, Domestic Economic News and Statistical Series, Business Leads and Procurement Opportunities. Also includes the National Trade Data Bank (NTDB), the U.S. Government's most comprehensive source of international trade data and export promotion information.
