SciFinder Scholar 2007 requires client software for either Mac OS X (10.3+) or Windows XP/2000/NT/98. This software provides simple point and click access to the Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) databases including:
  • CAPlus - bibliographic data included in Chemical Abstracts 'plus' other journals not included in CA, over 22 million records dating back to 1907. Updated weekly.
  • Registry - over 46 million records of unique compounds, searched by chemical, name, chemical structure, CAS registry numbers and formula. Substructure searches for substances and reactions. Now includes calculated property data.
  • CASREACT - more than 6.6 million single and multistep organic reactions, 1974 - present
  • CHEMCATS - commercial availability of chemicals from major suppliers
  • CHEMLIST - regulatory information on chemicals
