Alexander Field Receives Alpha Sigma Nu Book AwardWednesday, Oct. 24, 2012Alpha Sigma Nu Book AwardThis month I would like to acknowledge that Alexander Field, professor of Economics, received the 2012 Alpha Sigma Nu Book Award in the field of social sciences for his book, A Great Leap Forward: 1930s Depression and U.S. Economic Growth. Alpha Sigma Nu, the Jesuit Honor Society, holds an annual book awards competition to recognize outstanding publishing achievement in the humanities and sciences by faculty and administrators in Jesuit colleges and universities in the U.S., Canada and Korea. Congratulations to Professor Field for this accomplishment that brings recognition to him, to the Leavey School of Business and to the University.
