Before becoming a national higher-ed leader, José Cabrales ’00 was a first-generation student searching for belonging. He found community at SCU, and he now strives to provide it to students in public education.

Book Smart

Join the Alumni Book Club from March 13 through May 15 for “How to Read a Book” by Monica Wood. The novel centers on the unlikely friendship that forms at a small-town bookstore between a former prisoner, a retired English teacher, and a retired machinist. Take a deep dive into the story with a live author talk on April 28.

After more than 50 years in Berkeley, Santa Clara University’s Jesuit School of Theology is coming to the Mission campus! This move brings scholars, students, and spiritual formation closer to the Bronco community.

In Memoriam

Santa Clara University honors Peter Pierson, professor emeritus of history, whose scholarship and teaching shaped generations of Broncos. His legacy lives on through his students and his paintings in the Adobe Lodge.
