Caroline Goodwin will discuss the way her training in biology informs her work as a poet; she will also read to us from her recently-published collection Trapline (JackLeg Press 2013) and share her plans for her two-year post as San Mateo Countys first poet laureate. A native of Anchorage, Alaska, Goodwin moved to the Bay Area in 1999 to attend Stanford University as a Wallace Stegner Fellow.
