MATHEMATICAL ECONOMICS CONCENTRATION

Economics majors desiring to have a concentration in mathematical economics must
complete the following requirements in addition to the regular requirements for the major:

  • Mathematics: All of the following courses: MATH 11, 12, 13, 14, 22, 53 (MATH
    122 and 123 are strongly recommended)
  • Economics: Three out of the following courses: ECON 170, 171, 172, 173, or 174
    (these courses also count as electives required for the major)


Note: Students doing the mathematical economics concentration take MATH 11 and 12
instead of MATH 30 and 31.
