Carl Steffens

Lecturer in Marketing

 

Carl’s professional career includes management and executive positions in marketing and new business development with companies ranging from start-up to Fortune 100. He has extensive experience in the development, launch, and management of new products and lines of business.

Additional areas of professional interest include:
Defining and targeting business to business customer segments through eMarketing and data-mining
Selling to the “C” Suite-the study of effective marketing and selling to the highest levels of an organization

He is also co-author, with Richard Joseph and Anna Nekoranec, of “How to Buy a Business: Entrepreneurship through Acquisition” (Dearborn/Kaplan, 1993). This book is based on academic work by the authors while at The Wharton School.
