2009-10 Peer Advisor Bios

 

Cassie Braun

Cassie is a junior from Livermore, California and is currently pursuing a degree in finance with a minor in Spanish. On campus, she is involved with the ACE Program, Leavey Scholars Program, and the Undergraduate Business Office. In her free time, she enjoys playing intramural sports and taking pictures. This is her first year as a Peer Advisor and she is looking forward to a great year!

 

Claudia Bravo

Claudia is a senior and an International student from Peru. She is pursuing a major in Business Management and two minors in French and International Business. This will be her first year as a Peer Advisor and she expects it to be fun and a great experience! She is also part of the Salsa Clara team, which means she loves dancing besides eating, hanging out, and watching lots of movies. She is also a tutor who really enjoys helping students. She really hopes next school year will be even better and she can’t wait to meet everyone!

 

Katie Caudle

Katie is a sophomore from the Seattle suburb of Mercer Island, WA. She is an undeclared business major pursuing minors in International Business and Spanish. She works as a representative at the Dukes Business Service Center in Lucas Hall. In her spare time, Katie likes to ski, listen to music, and run. She found her Peer Advisor especially helpful during her freshman year and is looking forward to helping younger students have the same positive experience.

 

Spencer Chavez

Spencer is an incoming sophomore and is pursuing a major in Finance and a minor in Economics. He is from Fullerton, California, which is down in Orange County, and currently has an internship secured for this summer at a large consulting firm called Urban Futures, Inc. As part of the ACE Program in the business school, Spencer takes his work very seriously and is looking forward to helping incoming freshmen navigate their first year of college. Spencer made the lacrosse team at Santa Clara this past year and also enjoys playing many other intramural sports.

                                                                  

Wills Fallon                                              

Wills is a junior from Marblehead, MA, pursuing a dual degree in Accounting and Economics. He was a member of the Men’s Crew Team at SCU as well as an Orientation Leader after his freshmen year. This past summer he participated in Pricewaterhouse Cooper’s National Leadership Program in Chicago, Ill, and is hoping to get an internship with one of the Big 4 following his junior year! A fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots, it is rumored he once at 2.15 pounds of ice cream at Frozos and is currently training to eat a Vermonster Ice Cream Sundae from Ben and Jerry’s! He cannot wait to meet all the incoming business students this fall!

 
Daniel Honda

Daniel is a junior finance major from Kamuela, Hawai’i. When he first began at Santa Clara he was an engineer, then switched into Arts and Science, and then finally into the business school. Last fall he studied abroad in New Zealand and this summer he will be taking on an internship in China. This is his first year as a Peer Advisor and he is excited to get to meet new people next year.


Lori Hsu

Lori is a junior accounting major and art minor from Fremont, California. She is a member of the ACE Program as well as the Honors Program, and she currently works in the Drahmann Academic Advising Center on campus. Some of her hobbies are painting, playing the piano, decorating her room, and traveling. In her spare time, she drops by club meetings in the Multicultural Center and volunteers with the Santa Clara Community Action Program. She hopes all of you had wonderful summers and is excited to meet everyone during the school year!

 

Lauren Jauregui

Lauren is a junior and a local from Millbrae. While double majoring in Marketing and Bioengineering, she is also a Ruff Rider (she loves sports), a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, a student worker on campus, and a participant in the immersion trip to Mexico over Christmas break. She is very excited to be working with the incoming freshmen and getting to know them over the course of the year. If there are any questions, school-related or not, she would be more than glad to help!

 

Sarah Kostas

Sarah is a junior from Boise, Idaho and is an Accounting major and an Economics minor. Aside from her role as a Peer Advisor, she enjoys working at the Greeter Desk in the library and swimming for SCU’s club team. She is very excited to meet all of the new business students and to be a Peer Advisor!

 

Chris Max

Chris is a junior from Bethesda, Maryland pursuing a degree in Accounting along with minors in German Studies and Italian Studies. He is in the Honors Program and the ACE Program, and he spent this past summer studying abroad in Italy and Germany. He really loves meeting new people and is anxiously looking forward to being a Peer Advisor this year.

 

Jodi Montoya

Jodi is a junior Marketing and Economics double major. She is originally from the good old southwest, Albuquerque, New Mexico, but definitely loves being in California at SCU. She is currently a member of the ACE Program, communications coordinator for RLCA, and works as a desk receptionist in Campisi. In her free time, she likes to run for fun, hang out with friends, and bake delicious desserts. During her sophomore year, she went to El Salvador on the Business Immersion trip and had an unforgettable experience. This is her first year as a Peer Advisor and she is looking forward to meeting the class of 2013. She knows hard it can be to balance all sorts of activities, especially freshmen year, but it’s possible and she’d love to help the new freshmen in any way possible!

 

Jaya Pareek

Jaya is a senior from Fremont, California pursuing a double degree in Finance and Political Science. She is a member of the University Honors Program and Vice President of Administration for Alpha Kappa Psi. During her junior year, she studied abroad in London where she was a Research Intern in British Parliament. She loves soccer (Arsonal is her favorite team), good coffee, and day-trips to Santa Cruz. Jaya is excited to meet everyone and work in the new business school this year!

 

Ramona Redlingshafer

Ramona is a senior Marketing major with a minor in Communications. She is from new York and studied abroad in Sydney, Australia during fall quarter of her junior year. On campus, Ramona works in the Drahmann Academic Advising Center and is an International Ambassador for the Study Abroad Office. This is her first year as a LSB Peer Advisor and she is excited to be a part of it!

 

Victoria Watson

Victoria is a sophomore from Los Gatos, CA. She is thinking in majoring in either Accounting or Finance. On campus, she is a leader on the Solar Decathlon Team. This is her first year as a Peer Advisor and she is excited to help and meet new people in the SCU Leavey School of Business.

 

Kellie Wong

Kellie is a junior from Daly City, California pursuing a Marketing and Psychology double major. She works for Santa Clara University’s radio station, KSCU, as its HR Director and you can find her working at the cafes on campus. She enjoys listening to music and is really excited to become a Peer Advisor. She cannot wait to meet everyone and help them through their first year here at SCU.

 

Marshal Yang

Marshall is a local from Cupertino, California heading into his senior year as an Accounting and Economics double major. He is in the University Honors Program and Leavey Scholars Program. He is also active in the Delta Sigma Phi business professional fraternity. He spent his freshmen year studying in Singapore, and enjoys soccer, basketball, swimming, and hanging out with friends. He is really looking forward to meeting the new Santa Clara business students.
