  • iconCHRISTOPHER ALLEN

    Chris is a Finance major and Economics minor from the northern Seattle area. He is involved in the University Honors Program and the Leavey Scholars Program at Santa Clara. Off campus, He is a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, and is a math tutor for middle and high school students in Saratoga, a town southwest of campus. Chris enjoys weight training and hiking in his free time. For the upcoming summer of 2015, he will be working for Bloomberg LP in the Sales and Analytics department. Chris looks forward to assisting his advisees in any way they may need.

    Sophia Avila is a junior Accounting and Information Systems major from South San Francisco, California. She is a member of the ACE Leadership Program in the Business School. Sophia is also a student assistant in the library and the accounting department during the school year and was a Start intern at Pricewaterhouse Coopers this past summer. She also participates in Alpha Kappa Psi, one of the professional business fraternities on campus.She enjoys running with the Triathlon Club and participates in intramurals. After her first year as a peer advisor, she knew she wanted to become more involved through the Executive Board. Sophia is looking forward to working with the class of 2018 and their peer advisors.

    Damon Bollens is an Accounting major and Economics minor from Irvine, California. Aside from being a Peer Advisor, Damon is a small group leader in CLC (Christian Life Community) as well as apart of Greek life through the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. In his free time, he enjoys watching sports, exploring the Great Outdoors, attending musical concerts, and volunteering. This is Damon's second year as a Peer Advisor and he looks forward to helping the incoming freshman become comfortable with both the Business School and life in general at Santa Clara!

    Cayla Carson is a dedicated business student from Omaha, Nebraska. She is part of both the ACE Leadership Program and Retail Studies Student Association. She is also a member of Community Council and part of off-campus Greek life. When she isn't studying, Cayla loves to run, eat sushi, and spend time with friends. She is eager to share her love for this school and show the new students all of the many opportunities Santa Clara has to offer!

    Dylan Chng is a sophomore Finance major from Los Angeles County. He can often be found playing basketball or working out at Malley. His love for basketball can be seen through his participation in intramural sports. During his first year as a peer advisor, Dylan hopes to make the transition to the Leavey School of Business as smooth as possible for the incoming freshman class of 2019.

    Chelsea Conroy is a Sophomore in the Leavey School of Business. She is a Marketing Major with an Economics Minor. Chelsea is involved in an off-campus sorority and is currently the Business Director for Spoon University. She enjoys surfing, hiking, cooking, and going on adventures in her free time. Chelsea hopes to maintain the outstanding impression the Leavey School of Business made on her freshman year, and cannot wait to make it a great year for her advisees.

    Christine Doan is a junior from Sunnyvale, California. She is currently majoring in Management Information Systems (MIS) and hopes to have a career here in Silicon Valley upon graduation. In her spare time, she loves being outdoors hiking, going to the beach, and playing tennis. This Christine's first year as a LSB Peer Advisor and she is excited to welcome the incoming freshmen to both SCU and the Leavey School of Business. She hopes to make their experience as first-year students the best that it can be.

    Caroline Dorman is expecting to major in Accounting and has a Retail Studies Minor. She is from Lake Oswego, Oregon, but just moved to Denver, Colorado in the summer of 2014. She is involved in the Retail Studies Student Association and a member of the Women in Business Club. She hopes to do something that combines her passion for the retail industry and Accounting and in the future. Caroline was accepted into Ernst &Young's Build a Better You Program and has an internship with The Clymb, an ecommerce outdoor and adventure company that is based out of Portland, Oregon. She is also involved in an off-campus sorority. In her free time, she loves hiking, socializing with friends, and competing in intramurals on campus such as tennis and basketball.Caroline loves working with people and cannot wait to be a Peer Advisor for the 2015-2016 academic year!

    Bella Giannini is an accounting major at Santa Clara University. Coming from a small town in Connecticut, she is excited and prepared to help the incoming freshmen with the same adjustment! Bella enjoys playing soccer and hanging out with friends. She's ready for a great year with the new Leavey Business students!

    Carolyn Harada is a junior Accounting major with a minor in Mathematics from Orange County, California. Apart from Peer Advising, Carolyn works as a Desk Receptionist at the University Villas and volunteers as a mentor at a local high school. On campus, Carolyn is involved in American Cancer Society and a professional business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi. In her free time, Carolyn loves dancing, going to the beach and hanging out with her friends Phoebe, Ross, Joey, Rachel, Monica, Chandler and Gunther. She is looking forward to meeting as many new people as she can and hoping to help the incoming freshman transition to college life!

    Laura Hyslop is a sophomore from Los Angeles, CA. This summer she will be interning for Outerknown, a clothing company headquartered in Los Angeles. In addition to peer advising, she is a member of the ACE Leadership Program, she works in the Undergraduate Business Programs Office, and she is a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Laura is looking to pursue a double major in economics and finance. She is excited to meet and help out the incoming freshman!

    Catherine Kang is from Fremont, California and will be a sophomore in the upcoming 2015-2016 school year. She is currently an undeclared business major but is hoping to declare in either Finance or Marketing soon. She is a member of the ACE Leadership Program in the Business School. Catherine loves to play tennis, be at the beach with her friends, and hopes to travel abroad during her time here at SCU. She's excited to meet her advisees from the class of 2019 and make their transition into the Leavey School of Business as easy and welcoming as possible.

    Laura is a sophomore business student from Minneapolis, MN.In addition to being a Peer Advisor, Laura is a member of the University Honors Program and a public relations officer for the Unity Community Council.Laura is involved in several intramural sports as well as off campus Greek life.In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors biking, reading, or relaxing on the beach.Laura is friendly, welcoming, and excited to meet the incoming first-year students to help acclimate them to the business school.

    Kate Laughton is a sophomore Accounting major from Orinda, California, a small town just an hour north of campus. She is a member of the University Honors Program, the Santa Clara swim club, and serves as Assistant Philanthropy chairman for the sorority Kappa Kappa Gamma. In her free time, Kate enjoys spending time with friends, volunteering, being outdoors, and taking pictures. This is Kate's first year being a peer advisor and she is very excited to meet and work with the class of 2019!

    Natalie Law is a rising sophomore in the Leavey School of Business from San Francisco. She is currently an undeclared business major but is hoping to declare either Accounting or Marketing soon. She is involved in the Women in Business club on campus as well as Alpha Kappa Psi, a professional business fraternity. In her free time, Natalie enjoys playing intramural sports including soccer and volleyball and runs a food blog. Natalie looks forward to meeting and helping freshman students assimilate into the Santa Clara community.

    Jenna is a senior, Economics major and Religious Studies minor, originally from Port Washington, NY. This is her second year as a Peer Advisor. Aside from being a member of the Peer Advising Executive Board, Jenna is a member of the Jewish Student Union, an Immersion Coordinator, a Student Ambassador, and an Executive Board member of Alpha Phi Sorority. During the fall of her junior year, Jenna was fortunate enough to study abroad in Delhi, India. Upon graduation Jenna hopes to seek out more international opportunities doing micro-finance work in developing countries. In her free time she enjoys playing soccer, hiking, eating Indian food and watching Game of Thrones. Jenna's really excited to meet the incoming freshman class and help continue to grow the Peer Advising program.

    Amy Lutfi is a sophomore Finance major from Yorba Linda, California. Aside from being a Peer Advisor, she is a member of the University Honors Program and is affiliated with Greek Life off campus. Amy also lectors at the Mission Church and hosts prospective students through the Shadow SCU Program. In her free time, she enjoys participating in intramural sports with her friends.Amy is very excited to welcome the Class of 2019 to the Leavey School of Business!

    Elaina Obradovich is a Senior Accounting major from Portland, Oregon. She has an internship at PwC as a core assurance intern in San Jose and works part time for the Santa Clara University Human Resources Department throughout the school year. Additionally, Elaina is the coordinator of the Peer Educator Program for the Accounting Department. Last year, Elaina studied abroad in Milan, Italy where she had an amazing experience. In her free time, Elaina loves to travel, go on hikes and visit with her family and friends. Elaina has had an incredible experience during her time at Santa Clara University. This is her first year as a Peer Advisor and she could not be more excited to help the incoming class have incredible experiences as well!

    Paige Olson is a Junior Finance Major from Manhattan Beach, California. Besides being a peer advisor this year, she is a member of the Women in Business Club on campus. This past summer, Paige lived in London studying finance at the London School of Economics. She's excited to welcome in the class of 2019 and meet all the new faces on campus!

    Sloane Peterson is a sophomore Finance major with an OMIS minor from Phoenix, Arizona.She has absolutely loved her time here at Santa Clara and has participated in several organizations including the Leavey School of Business Accelerated Cooperative Leadership Program (ACE) and SCU's Women In Business Club.Sloane cannot wait to greet the incoming freshman and introduce them to all that Santa Clara has to offer!

    Kevin Schunk is a junior Finance major from Los Gatos, California.As far as school involvement, he is a member of the Leavey Scholars Program, a project manager for the NPI program, and a member of an off-campus fraternity. In his spare time, Kevin enjoys intramural sports, everything health and fitness related, and building relationships with his friends.He is very excited to meet the incoming class of freshman and help them form a strong foundation for handling the challenges presented to students of the business school.

    Brad Thompson is a Junior Finance major and Economics minor from Phoenix, Arizona. He is a member of the Leavey Scholars Program and a member of an off campus fraternity. For summer 2015, he has an internship with the Sports Marketing team here at Santa Clara. In his free time he enjoys playing intramural sports, hiking, skiing, and listening to music. This is his first year as a Peer Advisor and he looks forward to helping new business students become acclimated to Santa Clara.

    Noel Utsugi is a senior Accounting major and Studio Art minor from Aiea, Hawaii. She is a member of the University Honors Program and is also involved in Alpha Kappa Psi, a professional business fraternity. She spent Fall 2014 studying abroad in Milan, Italy and traveling around Europe. This summer, she will be an assurance intern at Ernst &Young in San Jose. In her free time, she enjoys playing volleyball, sewing, film photography, and exploring the Bay Area. This is her first year as a peer advisor and she looks forward to meeting the new Broncos and helping them make the most of their time at SCU!

    Walter Yu is a junior Accounting and Information Systems major. He is currently an Accounting Peer Advisor as well as part of the Executive Board for Peer Advising. On campus he is involved in various multicultural clubs and is part of the ACE leadership program. In his spare time he enjoys playing basketball, soccer, and tennis. He is really excited to be on the executive board and hopes to make the program even more successful this year.

    Sarah Watson is a sophomore in the business school with a major in Marketing and an Entrepreneurship minor. In her hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina, she works as an assistant manager for Vector Marketing. Sarah is also a member of an off-campus sorority, and she absolutely loves getting to know new people. She is incredibly excited to get involved and give back to SCU as a peer advisor.
