SCU Jazz PerformanceJazz Ensemble - MUSC 45/145A big band in the tradition of Duke Ellington and Count Basie that not only performs the classics but also embraces the music of contemporary composers and arrangers. Class meets Tues/Thurs 7:30 - 10:00pm in the Music & Dance rehearsal hall. Jazz Combo's - MUSC 46/146Students are encouraged to sign-up for placement in a jazz combo. Members are grouped according to ability so that everyone has a chance to grow together and learn both the fundamentals and intricacies of jazz improvisation. The Jazz Combos meet Wednesday's 4:00 - 5:30pm. Open to all students across campus, Director of Bands, Bob Moorefield can be contacted for more information on both of these groups. |
