Department of Computer Engineering - Department of Computer Engineering

Computer Engineering

Welcome to the Computer Engineering Department

We offer degrees in Computer Science and Engineering, Web Design and Engineering, and Computer Engineering. The computer science and engineering program, combining features of both computer science and computer engineering, concerns the design and construction of both software and hardware systems. The discipline spans areas such as networking and the Web, embedded programming, software engineering, information assurance, game development, and robotics.

The web design and engineering program combines a technical education in computing with courses in graphic arts, communication, and sociology to enable its graduates to understand the engineering infrastructure of the Web, how the Web affects society, and how the ways in which society uses the Web creates new demands on technology.

Hear Professor Dan Lewis speak about the new web design and engineering program.  Dr. Lewis was interviewed by Bill Cullifer, who is the Executive Director of the World Organization of Webmasters.
