Terry Shoup, Professor of Mechanical Engineering, is serving as Interim Executive Director of International Programs during the 2009-10 academic year. 

Terry has held a succession of leadership positions at Santa Clara and his profession.  Since coming to Santa Clara in 1989, he has served as Dean of the School of Engineering (1989-2002), Acting Dean of the School of Education, Counseling Psychology, and Pastoral Ministries (2005-06), and Interim Vice Provost for Enrollment Management (2006-08).  He has served as editor of several major journals in his field and is the author of more than 100 articles and a dozen books.  He recently completed a term as president of the American Society of Mechanical Engineering (ASME) and currently serves as President of Board of Directors of the ASME Foundation. 

A search for a new Executive Director will begin in the fall.
