All academic programs scheduled for program reviews in the first cycle (2003 to 2009) have either completed or initiated self studies. In response to concerns expressed in a Faculty Senate survey last spring, the Academic Affairs Committee approved a proposal from the Provost's Office to adopt a new schedule in which academic programs will undertake self studies every eight years. This schedule will be adjusted in some cases to reflect special issues such as coordination with specialized accreditation reviews.

This fall the Provost's Office and the Academic Affairs Committee will develop new guidelines for the next cycle of academic program reviews. The schedule for the next cycle will also be announced later this fall.
