 Did You Know?

Santa Clara's newest building is also its first LEED certified building.

The Paul J Locatelli, S.J. Student Activity Center, located adjacent to Buck Shaw stadium, was built using the Leadership in Energy and Environmental design standards outlined by the U.S. Green Building Council. While Santa Clara uses LEED principles in the design and construction of all new buildings and major renovations, the Student Activity Center is the first to undergo the formal certification process. Some of its sustainable features include ultra low-flow bathroom fixtures, recycled structural materials and a design dedicated to take full advantage of natural light. The building is now open as new tenants move in, and will officially open to students in the fall.
