12-Step Support Groups

12-Step support groups offer a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from various struggles. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop the behavior that is causing distress and discomfort. There are no dues or fees for most 12-step meetings and they are not run by professional counselors, but rather by individuals who are also in the program and are working toward their own recovery.
