The Bible as Literature
Taught by Ron Hansen, Professor of English. This course closely examines various books of the Bible, recognizing the artistry of ancient texts as compositions. Class meetings will focus on Old and New Testament selections, with discussions on Hebrew texts (Genesis) and the Gospel of John, using critical approaches and hermeneutics – the science and methodology of scriptural interpretation.
Pilates The Pilates method of body conditioning is a unique system of stretching and strengthening exercises developed over ninety years ago by Joseph H. Pilates. Pilates movements strengthen and tone muscles, improve posture, provide flexibility and balance, unite the body with the mind, and help to create a more streamlined shape. Pilates is appropriate for most populations, A physician should be consulted prior to beginning any exercise program.
