- Malley Center Academic Hours
Beginning, Monday, September 23 the Malley Center Academic Hours commence!
Monday - Thursday:
6:30 a.m. - Midnight
Friday:
6:30 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Saturday:
8 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Sunday:
8 a.m. - Midnight
All facilities must be vacated by the posted closing time. For example, when the Malley Center closes at midnight everyone needs to be out of the front doors at midnight, not heading to the locker rooms at midnight.
- Court Closure
All courts will be closed Thursday, October 3 from 6:30 a.m. - 10 p.m.* due to the Career Fair.
*10 p.m. is an estimated time, the courts will reopen as soon as the equipment and tarps are removed. Please check the Malley Courts google calendar as it will be updated in real time.
- Fall Fitness ScheduleOur Fall Fitness class schedule will have over 15 weekly classes. All classes are free and first come first serve - no sign-ups needed.
- Fall Intramurals and First Year Olympics
Intramurals are back! It is an exciting time as registration for Fall IM sports offerings open Monday, September 23 at 12:00 p.m. and will run until Wednesday, October 2 at 11:59 p.m. This quarter will feature badminton, indoor volleyball, and flag football. First Year Olympics (FYO) also makes its return! First Year Olympics are an RLC vs RLC competition for our new first year students battling it out in a variety of sports for the First Year Olympic Champion Banner to hang in their respective resident hall! This event will take place on Saturday, October 5 from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Registration for FYO is open Monday, September 16 at 12:00 p.m. and will close on Monday, September 30 at 11:59 p.m. This event is for first year students only. - Club Sports Informational Meetings
Interested in finding out more information about a Club Sport team?
We have 22 Club Sport Team's: Bowling, Men's Club Baseball, Men's Ice Hockey, Women's Field Hockey, Men's Lacrosse, Women's Lacrosse, Men's Rugby, Women's Rugby, Men's Club Soccer, Women's Club Soccer, Men's Ultimate Frisbee, Women's Ultimate Frisbee, Men's Volleyball, Women's Club Volleyball, Boxing, Equestrian, Club Golf, Sailing, Shotokan Karate, Swimming, Club Tennis, and Triathlon.
Attend their Team Informational meeting. No experience necessary and attending one of these meetings does not commit yourself to join the program.

- Limited Pool Hours
We will have limited pool hours through Sunday, October 6 while we are busy hiring new guards. Please see our Aquatics Calendar for the hours. All hours are subject to change based on student staffing availabilities, illnesses, etc..
- Memberships (Spouse, Children, and Alumni) & Guests
Did you know you can sign up as an alumni member to use the Malley Center and Sullivan Aquatic Center? In addition, spouses of any current students, faculty and staff can sign up their spouses for memberships. We also allow any member to sponsor a guest/s. For all the policies and procedures for the various memberships visit our membership webpage.
- Bellomy Field Closed for Turf Replacement
We are excited to announce that Bellomy Field will receive a makeover this summer! The turf will be replaced. The renovation project is delayed through we anticipate Friday, October 18. We can't wait to reopen the field and welcome our Santa Clara community to enjoy the space this Fall.
Stanton Field is NOT an option for recreational use. Club Sports can use that space when scheduled ONLY. Green spaces to kick a soccer ball or toss a frisbee include along the fence line at Bellomy, Kenna Lawn/St. Ignatius Lawn, the grass near Swig Hall/Dunn, and the grass in front of the Casa, Sobrato residence halls.
- Becoming a Fitness Instructor

- New Student Well-Being Resources Website
We have a new comprehensive website that includes various well-being resources at scu.edu/well-being. If you aren’t sure where to go or what you may need, please review the offerings that have been compiled here. Student well-being is a campus-wide effort and we appreciate the collaboration between the Cowell Center and Office of Student Life that made the website possible.
- Locker and Towel Service
All lockers will expire on Sunday, September 22, 2024 in all locker rooms. Lockers will be available to rent Monday, September 23, 2024 for the 2024-2025 Academic Year. All lockers will expire on September 21, 2025. The locker rental rate is $60. To sign up stop at the Malley Center Front Desk during business hours. We accept cash, check, Visa or MasterCard for payment.
At this time, there continues to be no towel service available. Please bring your own towel or if you forget one towels may be purchased for $5.00 (including sales tax) from the Malley Center Front Desk.
