Janelle Ferreira - Summer 2017 Alumna
Janelle enrolled in the Summer 2017 Program after completing her undergraduate degree in managerial economics at UC Davis. After graduating from the CAAP Program, Janelle has been offered a position in the auditing department of Deloitte pending the successful completion of the CPA Exam.
Erica Dessenberger - Weekend 2015 Alumna
Erica was working as a financial consultant and had an undergraduate degree in English when she applied for the CAAP Program. She enrolled in the Weekend 2015 Program and was able to continue working while attending the courses. This gave Erica the unique opportunity to put knowledge from class into practice on the job. Since completing the program, Erica has accepted an audit staff position with Moss Adams and is studying for the CPA Exam.
Daisy Chen - Weekend 2015 Alumna
Daisy had a Bachelor’s in Anthropology and was working as a revenue analyst at a pre-IPO software company when she enrolled in the CAAP Program. Although it was difficult to balance her busy work schedule with her studies, Daisy committed to the CAAP Program knowing it would be the right step towards her goal to obtain a CPA. By working during the program, she was able to apply her knowledge from class to her job and vice versa. After completing the program, Daisy accepted an audit staff position with Deloitte. She is currently studying for the CPA Exam.
Jeremy Lee - Summer 2015 Alumnus
Before entering the CAAP Program, Jeremy was working as a youth counselor and teacher. He had a Bachelor's in Human Development and Master's in Elementary Education. The CAAP Program prepared Jeremy for public accounting despite not having any background in accounting prior to admission. Jeremy is currently working at BDO as a Assurance Associate. He enjoys public accounting because it allows him to still be involved in sectors he is passionate about such as the healthcare industry.
Katy Itani - Weekend 2013 Alumna
Katy enrolled in the Weekend 2013 CAAP Program after completing her BA in Business Administration with an accounting specialization. At the time, she was working part time for a CPA. During the CAAP Program, Katy worked as a children's dance instructor. Through the CAAP Program's extensive resources (recruiting events, lunch seminars, and experienced faculty), Katy was able to learn about the public accounting industry and connect with public accounting firms. Katy is now working as an Assurance Senior at BDO and has the flexibility to still be able to teach dance.
