Ravi Sarkaria - Weekend 2018

Ravi had a BA in Psychology with a minor in Justice Studies from San Jose State University prior to CAAP. He managed a service department at a commercial truck dealership and owned/operated a residential loan signing business. Ravi attended the first two CAAP courses during the 2017 Summer session and then transferred to the 2018 Weekend program for the remaining courses. During CAAP, Ravi operated his own business part-time. Since graduating, Ravi has accepted a full-time audit position with EY in their San Jose office.

Agnes Gonzalez-Dalmau - Summer 2017

Agnes had a BA in Translation and had been running her language service business for 15 years when she decided to become a CPA and enroll in the CAAP Program. The program provided her with everything she needed to sit for the CPA exam with confidence and succeed in her new career. After graduating, Agnes accepted a position as a Tax Associate with Global Mobility Tax, a CPA firm providing tax strategy, consulting and compliance services to organizations that relocate people internationally. 

Daisy Chen

Daisy Chen - Weekend 2015

Daisy had a Bachelor’s in Anthropology and was working as a revenue analyst at a pre-IPO software company when she enrolled in the CAAP Program. Although it was difficult to balance her busy work schedule with her studies, Daisy committed to the CAAP Program knowing it would be the right step towards her goal to obtain a CPA. By working during the program, she was able to apply her knowledge from class to her job and vice versa. After completing the program, Daisy accepted an audit staff position with Deloitte. She is currently studying for the CPA Exam. 


Jeremy Lee, Summer 2015 Alumnus

Jeremy Lee - Summer 2015

Before entering the CAAP Program, Jeremy was working as a youth counselor and teacher. He had a Bachelor's in Human Development and Master's in Elementary Education. The CAAP Program prepared Jeremy for public accounting despite not having any background in accounting prior to admission. Jeremy is currently working at BDO as an Assurance Associate. He enjoys public accounting because it allows him to still be involved in sectors he is passionate about such as the healthcare industry.


Weekend 2013 alumna Katy Itani

Katy Itani - Weekend 2013

Katy enrolled in the Weekend 2013 CAAP Program after completing her BA in Business Administration with an accounting specialization. At the time, she was working part-time for a CPA. During the CAAP Program, Katy worked as a children's dance instructor. Through the CAAP Program's extensive resources (recruiting events, lunch seminars, and experienced faculty), Katy was able to learn about the public accounting industry and connect with firms. Katy is now working as an Assurance Senior at BDO and has the flexibility to still be able to teach dance.  

Alumni Duncan Parsons

Duncan Parsons - Summer 2013

Duncan earned a BS in Biology, a PhD in Molecular Microbiology, and worked at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in their Biodefense Program before entering the Summer Program in 2013. Following CAAP Graduation Duncan took a position as an Audit Associate at BDO, LLP. He has been working there for 4.5 years and is currently an Experienced Audit Senior.


Gunnar Link - Weekend 2008 Alumnus

Gunnar Link - Weekend 2008

Gunnar received a BS in Economics from SCU in 2006. He briefly woked entry level positions at PaymentOne and ARM Inc. Gunnar continued to work at AMR while enrolled in the Weekend Program and the company paid for a portion of his tuition. After completing the program, Gunnar got his CPA designation in California. He then headed to Boston for graduate school. Gunnar has done consulting at Deloitte, and has been the Financial Manager then Controller at EF. For the last 2.5 years, he has been the CFO of CAPA.
