
About the Celebration
The 3rd Annual Camino de los Muertos takes place on Saturday, November 1, 2025 on the campus of Santa Clara University from 5pm - 9pm.
This year's event will also include a special All Saints Day Mass (in Spanish), which will take place at 4pm inside Mission Santa Clara.
The event, which was first held in November 2023, is a collaboration with the Mexican Consulate of San Jose, Bay Area's Univision 14 and Santa Clara University. It is designed to promote, preserve and share one of the most colorful, but the most emotive traditions that the Mexican community offers to the world, such as the Día de los Muertos festivity, declared as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity by UNESCO.
The Camino de los Muertos is festive community atmosphere with live music, Catrina competition, cultural foods and a magnificent tour of the altars to commemorate and honor our dearly departed loved ones. The event is Free and open to the entire community.
