1st Edition: May 8, 2026 - Welcome to SCU
We are so excited for you to join our Santa Clara family.
Throughout the spring and summer, we’ll provide these Bronco Prep Guides to help you navigate our onboarding process, attend Orientation, get enrolled for fall classes, and get ready to arrive on campus for the fall quarter.
Now: Reserve your spot!
Below is an update on the two steps required to reserve your spot after submitting your enrollment deposit. If either step is incomplete, please take action as soon as possible.
In the email you received, it will show:
- Your Housing application is incomplete and past due. Submit Housing App today OR Housing Application Complete
- Your Orientation registration is incomplete. Sign up for Orientation asap! OR Orientation Registration Complete
Next: Get enrolled!
It’s never too early to prepare for academic advising and course enrollment sessions that will take place this summer. Check out our requirements page for all the details.
Claim your SCU account. Please do this right away, as you will need it to access the MySCU Portal single sign-on (SSO) system for the upcoming steps.
You should have received an email yesterday evening with the subject line, “New SCU User Account Information - Please Read to Get Started.” This email includes the link to claim your account.
Starting May 8, you can claim your account by following the SCU Account Claim instructions. Once your SCU account has been claimed, please complete Duo two-factor authentication right away.
After both steps are finished, you can begin working through the remaining items listed under Phase I on the New Undergraduate Student Technical Support page.
Special Opportunity for first-year students: Become a Ciocca Center Mindset Scholar! This 1-year program helps students develop an entrepreneurial mindset through growth in 4 areas: awareness, empathy, optimism, and confidence. Applications are due June 7. Learn more and apply on the Mindset Scholars website.
Jesuit Traditions and Santa Clara Values
Throughout our Bronco Prep Guides, we’ll introduce you to our Jesuit traditions and share some of our core values.
One hallmark of the Jesuit educational tradition is cura personalis - a Latin phrase you’ll hear a lot on campus - that means “care for the whole person”. At Santa Clara, you’ll have opportunities to develop your mind, body, and spirit to help you make a positive difference in the world.
