Ivancovich Family Student Life Fund

The Ivancovich Family Student Life Fund provides critical and flexible funding to support SCU students with the greatest need. These grants have no repayment obligation. The fund provides temporary, one-time funding for students to address an unexpected, unforeseen, or unavoidable emergency expense.

The Ivancovich Family Student Life Fund supports:

  • Participation in campus life programs that require funds to participate, such as service-learning experiences, student events (e.g., Into the Wild trips, Senior Gala, Grad Bash), club sports or immersion programs
  • Basic Needs support (e.g, food, transportation, housing security)
  • Unexpected or extenuating financial challenges

Other examples of expenses the fund covers:

  • Assistance with basic needs for student, including food and transportation
  • Housing security (e.g., threat of eviction or displacement due to unsafe, unhealthy, or unpredictable living conditions)
  • Assistance with technology purchases to assist with academic needs or requirements
  • Books or costs related to course instruction or participation
  • Emergency travel
  • Unexpected or extenuating financial challenges or changes in finances
  • Unexpected modest medical or dental expenses
  • Support during emergency situations (e.g., theft, natural disaster, death in family, etc.)

The Ivancovich Family Student Life Fund will not provide funding to the following circumstances:

  • Students with additional financial resources or benefits are available (e.g., financial aid or grant eligibility, which can be used first).
  • Payment for expected or planned expenses that may be incorporated into budget planning (e.g., SCU tuition and fees, car insurance, car payments).
  • Payment of parking tickets, parking permits, legal fees, or fines.
  • Non-essential utilities (e.g., cable, cell phone bill) and household needs.
  • Debt (e.g., credit card, personal, student loan, family, medical).

Please note: If a student requests financial support for any ineligible expense(s), these expenses will be removed from consideration. If the request does not include a request for eligible items the request will not be approved.
