Ways to support the Basic Needs Program
- Cash Donations You can donate directly to our program on the Santa Clara website here under the designation: Food Insecurity Gift Fund.
- Food Donations We accept non-perishable, shelf-stable food items and toiletries at the Dean of Students Office located on the second floor of Benson, Room 205. These items are available to our students without any expectation of re-payment through our Bronco Food Pantry. We unfortunately cannot accept homemade items due to food safety regulations.
- Amazon Wish List Donations can be made via our SCU Amazon wish list. Please search for “SCU Students: Food Insecurity at SCU” for the public wish list of items or click here to access the wish list directly. Please select “Food Insecurity SCU”, 500 El Camino Real, as the mailing address.
- Donation Drives If you would like to host a drive to collect items for the pantry please contact the Dean of Students Office. Please give at least four weeks prior notice to the planned date of the drive.
- Gift Card Donation E-gift cards can be sent to dso@scu.edu and will be distributed to students directly. Physical gift cards can be dropped off or mailed to the Dean of Students Office in Benson, Room 205, please see the full mailing address below. Cards loaded with amounts of $25 and $50 are preferred. We ask that gift cards be donated from Safeway or Target for ease of student access to local stores.
