2nd Edition: July 3, 2026 - Orientation, Course Enrollment, and Upcoming Deadlines
We are excited to bring you the second edition of our Bronco Prep Guide.
βIn the email sent directly to students, updates were shared on these critical enrollment steps. Here's an example of what that looks like:
- Your Orientation registration is incomplete. Sign up for Orientation as soon as possible!
- If you're planning to live on campus, apply for housing at SCU right away. Housing is limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis, but there is still space available!
π Get ready to Get Enrolled!
When do I enroll in classes?
- Transfer students will enroll in Fall Quarter classes during their scheduled Orientation session.
When will I get more information about my on-campus Orientation session?
- As your Orientation session approaches, you'll receive two emails - one 10 days before your arrival and another the night before. We want you to feel fully prepared, so please be sure to read each email in its entirety.
What should I bring with me to my Orientation session?
- Laptop or tablet (required)
- Government-issued ID
- Water bottle
- Comfortable walking shoes
Reminders:
- Complete all technology onboarding steps (required for course enrollment)
- Be open to new experiences! To earn a degree from SCU, all students must fulfill University Core Curriculum requirements. These courses span a range of topics and offer a valuable opportunity to explore and engage with concepts in new and meaningful ways.
- If you require accommodations for a documented disability, we encourage you to start the registration process with the Office of Accessible Education (OAE) as soon as possible to avoid delays during the review period at the start of the Fall Quarter.
πͺͺ Set up your ACCESS Credential by July 4, 2026
The ACCESS mobile credential is Santa Clara University's official campus ID. It grants access to the Pat Malley Fitness and Recreation Center, sporting events, theatre and dance performances, on-campus printers, and much more. It also stores your meal plan, Dining Plus points, and Flex Dollars - keeping everything you need conveniently in one place.
- Check your SCU email account for a message from access@scu.edu with the subject line “Welcome to SCU.” This email, sent on June 18, includes the steps you need to upload your photo and request your account setup.
- Next, check your SCU email account (including your spam folder) for an email from “Salutations from Online Photo.” This message includes your personalized link to upload your photo. Please note that your photo can only be submitted through the personalized link in the email referenced above.
- After your photo is approved, you will need to have DUO two-factor authentication set up and your SCU student ID number available to complete your digital ACCESS Credential setup.
- If you have questions, please contact the ACCESS Office at access@scu.edu.

πA few helpful things to know as you begin your academic journey:
π Each quarter, the Office of the Registrar publishes a virtual booklet with important academic policies and deadlines all in one place. It also includes helpful guidance, such as how to read the schedule of classes (Pro tip: "R" means Thursday!). Take some time to look through it so you're familiar with add/drop policies and other guidelines that could affect your tuition bill or academic progress.
ποΈ The Academic Calendar is your go-to resource for key dates, including the start and end of each quarter and academic holidays throughout the year. The 2026–2027 academic calendar is available on the Registrar's website.
π The Undergraduate Bulletin is your comprehensive guide to university policies, campus resources, and the requirements for every major, minor, and the Core Curriculum. The Bulletin is available online.
π The Office of Accessible Education (OAE) is here to support students seeking accommodations for documented disabilities or medical conditions. OAE staff recommend starting the registration process as early as possible this summer to avoid delays at the start of the Fall Quarter.
