OAE Information re: Online Instruction
The Office of Accessible Education (OAE) recognizes the challenges of the recent transition to online courses and exams may pose for both faculty and students. The University made this transition to do our part to slow the spread of the Covid-19 virus. Consistent with that objective, students have been encouraged to leave campus. OAE remains operational during this time, however, the office is not proctoring exams due to the switch to the online format.
To best assist with the delivery of accommodations in an online format, OAE has compiled a list of topics that may address your questions surrounding testing accommodations for the remainder of the winter quarter and the beginning of the spring quarter. The Office of Accessible Education (OAE) formerly Disabilities Resources has been designated by the University to ensure access for all students with disabilities to all academic programs and University resources. Our goal is to support the college student with a disability to participate fully in campus life, its programs, and activities. We emphasize growth and individual achievement. We address this goal through the provision of academic accommodations, support services, and auxiliary aids.
OAE provides appointment-based individualized support for currently registered students and prospective OAE students currently enrolled at SCU. To meet with an advisor, please contact our office at 408-554-4109 or by coming in-person to Benson 1 to schedule an appointment.
