26-27 Peer Advisors

Amalia Thompson is graduating in 2027, majoring in Public Health Science and Biology. Following a pre-med/pre-PA path, Amalia has interests in pediatrics, community health, and working within Spanish speaking communities. At Santa Clara University, she is one of the Co-Presidents of HPPA, has been co-president and Service Chair of SCU Belles Service Organization, tutors for the Drahmann Center, has conducted nanoparticle research in Dr. Wheeler’s lab, was part of the Markkula Healthcare Ethics Internship, and was on a student panel for the upcoming medical school at Santa Clara University. She previously has worked as a Public Health Intern at Recovery Cafe San Jose, has done volunteering at Children’s Hospital Colorado, has worked as a skincare consultant at Kiehl’s, and has helped start a theatre outreach program within Denver Public Schools. Outside of class, Amalia enjoys going to the gym, movies, concerts, and eating lots of good food.

Amay is graduating in 2028, majoring in Neuroscience with a minor in Biology. Following the Pre-Med path, Amay has interests in Neurology and Pediatrics. At Santa Clara, he serves as Public Relations Officer for HPPA, works as a Peer Health Educator at the Wellness Center, works as an EMT for SCU EMS, and serves as Social Media Lead for the Neuro Club. He also works as an Optometrist Technician at the Optometry Center of Pleasanton and has volunteered at Sutter Health Eden Medical Center. Outside of the classroom, Amay enjoys developing his novel series, Finesse Destiny, making LEGO stop-motion animations, video FX editing, producing graphic design/art, collecting manga, and spending time with friends and family.

Annie is graduating in 2027, majoring in Public Health Science and Biology, with a minor in Religious Studies. Following the Pre-Med path, Annie has interests in pediatrics, OB/GYN, and cardiology. At Santa Clara, she serves as the Operations Chair for HPPA, she does research in the RESS Lab, is a 2025-2026 Hackworth Fellow, and is involved in Run Club. She is a Strauss Scholar through the Strauss Foundation in the state of California where she has started a nonprofit for veterans in the South Bay. She has completed research at ALAS and the Hardesty Center for Clinical Research and Neuroscience, and also volunteers at St. John’s Hospital. Outside of the classroom, Annie enjoys running, cooking, and painting.

Gabbie is graduating in 2027, majoring in Biology with a minor in Japanese Studies. Following a pre-medicine path, she has interests in dermatology, neurology, and oncology. At Santa Clara University, she is a Public Relations Chair for HPPA, she is the President of Rho Psi Eta pre-health sorority, a Lūʻau Director for Ka Manaʻo O Hawaiʻi Club, a Markkula Center Healthcare Ethics Intern, the mentorship chair for the University Honors Program Advisory Council, works as a General Chemistry TA, a Japanese language peer educator, and participates in research in quantum computational chemistry in the Grotjahn lab. She has worked as an MA intern and completed work in population preventative health as well as volunteering at a dementia home and wildlife preserves back in Hawaiʻi. Outside of school, she enjoys staying going to the gym, eating froyo, and spending time with her friends, family, and pets!

Giovanni is graduating in 2027, majoring in Biology on the pre-med track, with interests in emergency medicine and general surgery. He founded and served as President of the Future Physicians Club at San Francisco State University before transferring to Santa Clara University in Fall 2025. At Santa Clara, he serves as a Health Professions Peer Advisor (HPPA), a CAS Peer Advisor, and a volunteer EMT with SCU EMS, and is a member of Alpha Sigma Mu. He co-founded and serves as Co-President of the SCU chapter of the American Lung Cancer Screening Initiative (ALCSI). He has shadowed various surgeons and physicians across specialties at Washington Hospital. Giovanni also served as a lead Research Associate in ThinkNeuro's Bibliometric Research Internship, leading a team of interns in a bibliometric analysis of amyloid-beta and tau protein research trends. Outside of class, he enjoys playing video games, lifting weights, golfing, and coaching his younger brother in wrestling.

Isabella is graduating in 2028, majoring in Biology with a minor in Biotechnology. Following the pre-med path, Isabella has interests in reconstructive/cosmetic surgery. At Santa Clara, she is a LEAD scholar, involved in Biophysical research with Dr. Grace Stokes, a peer educator for Dr. Erin Schwartz, and a BIOL 1C TA. Her work experience includes volunteering at Stanford Hospital in the radiology department, volunteering at Good Samaritan Hospital as a nurse’s desk assistant, and working as a junior medical assistant at a dermatology clinic. Outside of the classroom, Isabella enjoys spending time with friends and family, getting sweet treats, and playing with her pets!

Kaelin is graduating in 2029, majoring in Biochemistry. Following the Pre-Med path, Kaelin is interested in Oncology and Pediatrics. At Santa Clara University, she is a part of the HPPA PR Committee, plays for Santa Clara’s club tennis team, a Chemistry lab TA, and is a member of the SCU Belles service organization. She has experience as an extended day-care leader at Courtyard Private School, is currently an inpatient volunteer at Stanford Hospital, and a volunteer at Bay Area Cancer Connections. Outside of school, she enjoys working out and staying active, trying new restaurants, baking, reading, and spending time with friends and family!

Kimberly is graduating in 2027, majoring in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Following the Pre-Pharmacy track, Kimberly has interests in pharmacology and drug development. At Santa Clara, she serves as one of the Co-Presidents of HPPA and as Vice President of Delta Epsilon Mu, conducts organic synthesis research in Dr. McNelis’ lab, and is an organic chemistry lab TA. She also works as a Pharmacy Technician at CVS and has volunteered at Huntington Hospital. Outside the classroom, Kimberly enjoys doing ballet, playing piano, baking, and trying new cafes.

Kite Hampton is graduating in 2027, majoring in Biology and minoring in Biotechnology. Kite is following the pre-med track with an interest in becoming an interventional radiologist. At Santa Clara, he is on board for ASA and has conducted toxoplasma research in the Guiton lab. He has also shadowed multiple physicians at Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula. Outside of acadmeics Kite enjoys motorsport racing such as F1, Indycar, Imsa and DTM, as well as gaming, anime, and exploring with friends.

Kymberly is graduating in 2029, majoring in Biology with a minor in Public Health Science. Following the Pre-Med path, Kymberly has interests in pediatrics and OB/GYN. At Santa Clara she is a member of Rho Psi Eta, the community outreach chair for Ka Manaʻo O Hawaiʻi, and is part of the University Honors program. She volunteers at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children, is an elementary and special needs tutor, and has completed clinical skills labs hosted by Queen’s Medical Center. Outside of school, Kymberly enjoys being active, hot yoga, and spending time with friends and family.

Ryann is graduating in 2027 with a major in Biology and is following a Pre-Nursing/Pre-PA path. After graduation, she plans to pursue a career in healthcare and is currently exploring both entry-level master’s programs in nursing and Physician Assistant programs. At Santa Clara, Ryann is involved with HPPA, Belles Service Organization, and LEAD. She has also interned with Health Career Connections and volunteers with organizations such as Kaiser Permanente as well as Hearts and Minds. Outside of school, she coaches a club volleyball team with a local organization. In her free time, Ryann enjoys reading, baking sourdough, Pilates, and spending time with her friends and family.

Sahana is graduating in 2029, majoring in Biochemistry. Following a pre-medicine path, she has interests in pediatrics and oncology, as well as exploring the intersection of healthcare and AI. At Santa Clara University, she is a HPPA peer advisor and a part of the Operations team, member of the University Honors Program, Community Engagement Chair for SCU Active Minds and SCU Sprout Up, instructor for the SCU Splash program, and a student researcher in the Abbyad Lab. Sahana is an inpatient unit volunteer at a local hospital and also spends time with patients in hospice care. Sahana works as a General Chemistry TA and has assisted with community health research on lung health. Outside of school, Sahana is an Indian classical dance teacher and performer. She also enjoys photography, going on long walks, and spending time with friends.

Sophia is graduating in 2028, majoring in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Public Health. Following the pre-med path, Sophia has interests in pediatrics and oncology. At Santa Clara University, she works in an organic chemistry research lab, serves as a University Admissions Ambassador, and a class of 2028 representative for the University Honors Program. She has completed medical assistant training and has worked with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center’s Genomics department with cancer biomarkers. Outside of school, Sophia enjoys hiking, going to the beach, swimming, and reading.

Tyler is graduating in 2027 with a double major in biology and neuroscience and a minor in gerontology. Following the Pre-Med path, Tyler has interests in surgery, ophthalmology, and emergency medicine. At Santa Clara University, he works as a DeNardo Scholar in the Bayless Lab, is the Conference Chair of DEM, is a member of SCU EMS, a Biology Peer Advisor, and is a member of TriBeta. He has worked as a Chemistry TA, Drahmann Center Peer Advisor, and Intramural Referee. He is also a volunteer at Hearts & Minds Activity Center and supports people struggling with Dementia. Outside of school, Tyler enjoys lifting, cooking, hanging out with friends and trying new experiences.

Vivian is graduating in 2028, majoring in Public Health with a minor in Biology. Following the Pre-Dental track, Vivian is interested in earning her DDS/DMD. At Santa Clara, she serves as the Associate Director of SCCAP and Director of Public Relations of Delta Epsilon Mu, is a Co-President of SCU Pre-Dental Society, and works as the student assistant for the Public Health Department. She also has experience shadowing at dental offices and working at an orthodontic clinic as an intern. Outside of academics and healthcare, Vivian enjoys baking, traveling, exploring new food spots and spending time with family and friends!

Will is graduating in 2027, majoring in Biology. On the Pre-Med track, Will is interested in Nephrology, Preventive Medicine, Public Health, and Sports Medicine. At Santa Clara, he is involved in neuroscience research with Dr. Cocas, a member of Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honor Society, and a volunteer with SCU’s SCCAP program, and was previously a member of the Men’s Rowing Team. He has shadowed orthopedic surgeons at Evergreen Hospital, and has spent time shadowing a PT at Lake Washington Physical Therapy. He serves as a liaison to Pre-Health student athletes. Outside of school, Will enjoys camping and hiking, cooking, and watching football.
