Robert McKay Ph.D. in Psychology was ordained priest in 1970, taught English Literature at Christian Brothers’ College and Pretoria Boys’ High School in Pretoria South Africa for 15 years. He was guest Professor in Psychology, Counseling and Pastoral Counseling at St. John Vianney Seminary in South Africa and for 15 years has taught various aspects of Psychology as Associate Professor in Psychology at the University of South Africa and Notre Dame De Namur University in Belmont California. Fr. Robert’s thesis for his Doctorate was “Dying and Death in Western Culture: Implications for Counseling.” Fr. Robert is a certified Hospital Chaplain with the National Association of Catholic Chaplains and served as chaplain and director of Spiritual Care at O’Connor Hospital San Jose from 2003 through 2016. Presently he is the Parochial Vicar at Sacred Heart Parish in Saratoga.
