In January 2014, Governor Brown declared a drought state of emergency mandating a 25-percent reduction in water use for California residents.  And as of this month, California is still experiencing severe drought despite recent rains. For this week’s challenges, you are invited to participate in numerous ways to meet our university’s goal of reducing water usage and conserve this precious life-sustaining resource for future generations. At the beginning of this week, Feb. 22, use buckets in the shower to catch water that could be used to rinse dishes, watering plants etc… In addition, encourage your peers to conserve water by sharing your water-saving strategies in conversation and on social media. #Broncos4Lent
