Juana is a proud first-generation college graduate from California's Central Valley. She graduated from Santa Clara University with a B.S. in Marketing from the Leavey School of Business. During her time as a student, Juana found a home in the LEAD Scholars Program, where she served as a Peer Mentor, LEAD Week Assistant, and Marketing Assistant. She was also involved with the Ignatian Center for Jesuit Education, participating in and coordinating immersion experiences in Costa Rica, Appalachia, and Alabama. These experiences deepened her appreciation for community, reflection, and the importance of building meaningful relationships with others.
Having experienced firsthand the impact of mentorship and supportive communities, Juana is especially passionate about helping students feel welcomed, valued, and connected. She is guided by the Ignatian value of cura personalis, or care for the whole person, and hopes to create spaces where students feel comfortable showing up as their authentic selves, asking questions, and exploring what gives their lives meaning.
Outside of work, Juana enjoys traveling, spending quality time with family and friends, and exploring new places and cultures. She hopes to one day visit all 50 U.S. states and see all Seven Wonders of the World. She also enjoys finding opportunities to give back to her community and connect with others along the way.
