LEAD Advisory Board
As a 2018 Santa Clara University alumna, Athena is delighted to join the LEAD Advisory Board. During her time at Santa Clara, she served as a student advisor in the Department of Political Science, a Community Facilitator with Residence Life, a Jean Donovan Fellow through the Ignatian Center, and a Global Social Benefit Fellow with Miller Center for Global Impact.
Since graduating, Athena has built a career at the intersection of public health, environmental health and safety, and global development. She served as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Vietnam, earned a Master of Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley, and has worked across occupational health and safety, climate resilience, and international nonprofit initiatives. She currently supports Gravity Water's programs in Southeast Asia, helping strengthen stakeholder engagement and partnerships to expand access to water in schools. Athena also serves on Santa Clara University's Board of Regents.
Athena is grateful for the mentors, opportunities, and sense of community she found at Santa Clara, which continue to shape her commitment to service and global engagement. She is honored to support the LEAD program and looks forward to helping students discover opportunities to grow as leaders, both on campus and beyond.
