Last year, our SCU Men's Volleyball team was consistently ranked amongst the top in the nation. We finished the regular season 15-1, claiming the Northern California Collegiate Volleyball League Championship in CSU Monterey Bay, on April 2nd, 2023. We then proceeded to place 5th in the nation after losing to the 1st place team at the National Tournament in Kansas, MO.

Prospective players should contact team leadership (see 2023-2024 MVB Leadership) during summer/fall 2022 to be added to the team interest list, attend the team information meeting and MVB specific open gym sessions, and participate in team tryouts. During pre-season and regular season, we plan to practice two nights per week and tournaments/individual matches are held on weekends at SCU and throughout central and northern California (Cal Poly SLO, Stanford, UC Berkeley, Fresno State, UC Davis, Chico State, University of Pacific, Sacramento State, Sonoma State and University of Reno). Our team is comprised of players who have both played for well-respected high school teams/club volleyball teams, and enthusiastic novice players that have less experience but diligently work to increase their skills and add to our great team camaraderie.  

As with all club sports at Santa Clara, the Men's Volleyball team is partially funded by the University, and all other funding comes from member dues, fundraising, and donations.
