Department Guide to Youth Programs

Departments and Program Leaders who sponsor or operate programs involving minors play a critical role in keeping those programs safe and compliant with SCU's Youth Protection Policy.

A Covered Program is any SCU-sponsored or SCU-operated activity where minors are physically present and SCU students, faculty, or staff are responsible for supervising, guiding, or caring for them. If your program fits this description, you'll need to identify and register the individuals overseeing minors and ensure they complete SCU's background check and training requirements.
