Summer Orientation 2010Class of 2014All students are required to attend Summer Orientation and are asked to select from one of the six sessions offered in July. These sessions are designed to help you prepare for your first quarter at Santa Clara University. You will have an opportunity to meet fellow students, learn more about your Residential Learning Community, become better acquainted with the campus, and register for fall quarter classes. Attending Summer Orientation in July allows you the opportunity to get a jumpstart on your time at SCU.
* Students participating in the LEAD Scholars Program are required to attend either the second or third session of Summer Orientation. ** Students participating in the University Honors Program are required to attend either the fifth or sixth session of Summer Orientation. A limited number of spaces are also available in our September orientation session (September 15 and 16, 2010) for students with special circumstances. Requests to attend this session must be sent to orientation@scu.edu before May 14, 2010. Please include any documentation (flight itinerary, proof of employment) with your request. The Office of New Student Programs will begin reviewing requests on April 14, 2010. All requests will be reviewed in the order received. Because space in this session is limited and not all requests will be approved, students are asked to sign up for one of the six July sessions above. If your request is approved, we will move you to the September orientation session and send a new confirmation. International StudentsIn September, we offer a orientation session for our International Students and students currently living abroad. Students meeting these criteria should sign up to attend the International Student Orientation session on September 15-16, 2010. Additional information regarding International Student Orientation can be found under the "For International Students" link on the left side of the page.
Transfer StudentsAll transfer students are required to attend Transfer Student Orientation on September 17, 2010. Additional information regarding Transfer Orientation can be found under the "For Transfer Students" link on the left side of the page.
