Transfer Student Orientation
| Welcome to Santa Clara University! We are so excited to have you as part of our community of scholars. While you have already attended classes at another institution, there is much for you to learn to make a smooth transition into the community here at Santa Clara University. All transfer students are required to attend Transfer Orientation on Friday, September 19th. A schedule will be posted on this site in early July. Transfer students should make their reservation for Transfer Orientation and a Transfer Student Workshop after submitting your enrollment confirmation with the Office of Undergraduate Admission. You may make your reservation for these events after June 1, 2008 on our eCampus portal available at www.scu.edu/ecampus. The Transfer Student Workshops are designed to help you understand your transcript evaluation, review Core Curriculum requirements, and begin to plan your course of study. Attendance at these workshops is strongly encouraged for students living in or near the Bay Area. Students living a considerable distance away from SCU should arrange for a phone advising appointment by contacting the Office of New Student Programs at 408-551-1995. Transfer Orientation is a critical first step to becoming an active member of the community. From registering for classes to learning about student involvement opportunities, this orientation is an important, exciting step on your journey towards earning a Santa Clara University degree. If you miss a part of orientation, you may miss important information. So, all students are expected to attend the entire session! Don’t forget! Transfer Students should also plan to attend events on Welcome Weekend, September 20-21. |
