New Student Orientation

Saturday, September 15 & Sunday, September 16, 2012

Welcome Weekend is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to learn about and celebrate the SCU community, meet other new and returning students, and prepare for the year. Welcome Weekend is designed for all new students - on-campus students, commuter students , and transfer students.

On Saturday morning, there will be a Get Organized! Vendor Fair hosted by the Office of New Student Programs. This fair brings together the most popular on and off campus vendors including local banks, stores, hotels, restaurants, and services available to SCU students and their families. Many on campus offices will also be available at the fair to answer questions and provide resources. This fair is a must to get prepared for the academic year!

In the afternoon, the entire campus will come together for the President’s Welcome. Over 3,000 new students and parents will listen to President Michael Engh, S.J. as he welcomes all new students and their families to Santa Clara University.

On Sunday morning, all new students and their families are invited to attend the Welcome Mass and Reception. After the mass, parents are asked to say their final good-byes. Sunday afternoon and evening are reserved for student-only activities.
