Caroline Thally is a Registered Dietitian who completed her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition at East Tennessee State University and recently earned her Master’s degree in Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics from the University of California, Berkeley. During her graduate training, Caroline worked closely with college students, leading classes that used diverse recipes to broaden culinary exposure and inspire healthy eating habits.

Caroline uses a client-centered approach in her work, positioning clients as the experts of their unique experiences and tailoring her recommendations to each individual’s nutritional needs and background. Her counseling style is rooted in evidence-based science, with an emphasis on individualized and culturally responsive care. By incorporating motivational interviewing techniques, she helps clients work toward their health and nutrition goals while fostering sustainable behavior change, overall well-being, and a positive relationship with food.

Passionate about clinical nutrition and creating meaningful cultural connections with her clients, Caroline leads with compassion, understanding, and respect. She is honored to be part of SCU and looks forward to collaborating with the SCU team and supporting the campus community. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking the Bay Area’s beautiful trails, cooking, and exploring the region’s rich and diverse culinary scene.
