Fr. Julian serves as the Campus Minister for Liturgy and Music. Originally from Cebu, Philippines, he entered the Society of Jesus in 2004 after having practiced registered nursing for eight years in California. A classically trained pianist and vocalist, Fr. Julian has more than 30 years of experience in church music as chorister, cantor, accompanist, and director. During his formation as a Jesuit, he also taught three years of high school theology and choral music, and was often called upon to coordinate music for province-wide liturgies such as ordinations and vows. Following his own priestly ordination, Fr. Julian served as a parochial vicar in Seattle, Washington and as a vocation promoter for the USA West Province of the Society of Jesus. In his free time, Fr. Julian enjoys hiking, visiting Wine Country, and listening to live music.
